ABBA: four letters, four Swedes, four artists that Europe discovered on 6 April 1974, in the midst of their Eurovision triumph. For ABBA, “Waterloo” was more than a victory, it was the start of a long series of hits that the whole world is still humming, five decades later. With the title “Waterloo”, the group was able to make the city shine throughout the world, in parallel with the Emperor Napoleon’s last battle that has inspired them to write the sing.

Thanks to its spectacular scenography, “ABBA 1974-2024” retraces the major stages in the career of the four Swedes, from their solo debut in the 1960s to their historic return in 2021 with the “ABBA Voyage” concept.

The band’s extravagant and colourful costumes, as famous as their hits, are featured prominently in the exhibition thanks to Swiss stylist Richard Gyver, who has made available some twenty of his creations, replicas of several of these fabulous stage outfits.

You can also discover a selection of unusual objects on loan from Belgian and foreign collectors.
