MORNING: DISCOVER THE BATTLEFIELD
• Visit the Lion Hamlet: Panorama, Waxworks, Lion Mound and 2 new fi lms.
• Battlefield Tour: discover the Battlefi eld by travelling the historical routes in a 4x4 vehicle with public address system.
OR
• Histo-Bike: Take a journey through the Battlefi eld on a bicycle and explore the paths, monuments and plaques commemorating the battle of 18th June 1815. Take your class after visiting the site of the Battle of Waterloo.
AFTERNOON: CHOICE OF ACTIVITIES
• Hunt for Napoleon’s hidden chest (suitable for children aged 9 to 14)
The teams have to fi nd clues with the aid of a map which will lead them to the riddle. Once they have solved the riddle, all they have to do is fi nd Napoleon’s secret chest.
Duration: 1½ hours Unlimited number of participants in groups of 4.
• What happened to Albert le Grognard? (suitable for children aged 6 to 9)
On the eve of the battle, Albert le Grognard strayed on to the battlefi eld. To fi nd him, you must solve the anagram that will reveal the riddle and lead the group to the lost soldier.
Duration: 1½ hours. Unlimited number of participants in groups of 4.
• The story of Waterloo (for all ages)
At the top of the mound, the story of the battle is told to the pupils in turn by Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington. An enthralling tale that can be understood by all ages.
Duration: 1¼ hours. Numbers: maximum 30 participants.
