The “Bivouac de l'Empereur”
Discover the spirit of Napoleonic-era taverns, in this building constructed a short while after the battle which became the first hotel on the site. The tavern and current restaurant were built in the 1950s in the style of a farmhouse from the Napoleonic period with materials recovered from the battlefield.
The décor includes an immense fireplace, candles and music from that period. Step back in time to the days of soldiers of the old guard of Napoleon I and canteen women.
House special: a large roasting spit where lobster, pigeon and rib-eye steaks are cooked in front of you.
The “Bivouac de l’Empereur” is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
